Shelton Flight is a non-profit flying club located at
Sanderson Field (KSHN) near Shelton, Washington. The club owns and operates a
Cherokee 235 that is hangared at Sanderson Field. Club meetings are held every
second Thursday at 7:30pm in the Olympic Air FBO. Membership is open to
anyone with a valid pilot's license and medical, subject to approval by the
membership.
Shelton Flight was originally the local CAP organization for Mason County. In 1952, Simpson Timber Company donated building materials for a row of T-hangars. The hangars are still in operation today and are owned by Shelton Flight. The CAP group eventually morphed into the non-profit corporation Shelton Flight, inc. If you are a licensed pilot looking for a low cost way to feed your flying habit, please feel free to contact us or just drop into one of our monthly meetings and introduce yourself.
